Strategic Real Estate Advisor SL 3264410I’ve lived in Dunedin for more than 25 years, and I’m not someone who moves just for the sake of moving. In fact, I sometimes joke that I make a terrible real estate client because I’ve stayed in the same Dunedin home for 25 years.
That long-term perspective is part of what I bring to my work. I know Dunedin not only as a real estate professional, but as someone who lives here, owns here, participates in the community and has watched the area change over time.
I’ve been licensed in real estate since 2012, but the way I approach the business was shaped long before that.
I spent 22 years in banking. That background taught me to think carefully about numbers, risk and the consequences of financial decisions. Today, it affects everything from how I evaluate a situation to how I help a seller think through pricing, timing, negotiations and protecting their equity.
I don’t see selling a home as simply putting it on the market and waiting for an offer. There are a series of decisions along the way, and each one can affect the next. My job is to help clients understand those decisions, think strategically about their options and make choices that fit their circumstances.
My real estate work is centered in Dunedin and the surrounding Pinellas County market, with particular experience in seller strategy, downsizing and life transitions, waterfront properties and pet-friendly real estate. Sometimes the right move is obvious. Sometimes it takes some thought. I’m comfortable in that middle ground.
I’m also involved in the real estate profession beyond my own business. I currently serve as Secretary of the Suncoast Tampa Association of REALTORS® and have been elected Treasurer for 2027. I also serve as a Director for Florida Realtors and as a Director for the National Association of REALTORS®.
Community is a big part of my life outside of real estate as well. I’m a Director for Visit Dunedin and a ruling elder at First Presbyterian Church, and over the years I’ve been involved with a number of Dunedin organizations, nonprofits and rescue efforts.
And then there’s Scruffy.
My family means a great deal to me, although they don’t live here, so Scruffy is very much my everyday sidekick. He’s also part of my business through Scruffy Says™, where I bring a real pet-owner perspective to questions about whether a home, condo or community actually works for everyone who will be living there.
When we’re not working, one of our favorite things is getting to Honeymoon Island State Park when it opens and taking our walks along the park’s dog beach.
And if it’s football season, there’s a pretty good chance I’m also paying attention to the Virginia Tech Hokies.
After more than 25 years in Dunedin, I still think one of the most useful things I can offer is perspective—on the market, on the numbers, on the community and on the decisions that come with making a move.
I’m not interested in making a decision for someone. I want my clients to understand what they’re looking at, what their options are and what I think matters, so they can make a decision they feel good about.
